Boardroom Spirits, the award-winning craft distillery based in Lansdale, PA, is thrilled to unveil their newly expanded distillery and tasting room at 575 West Third Street in Lansdale today. In recognition of the celebration, Mayor Garry Herbert has issued a proclamation that November 2, 2018 will be recognized as Boardroom Spirits Day in the Borough of Lansdale and named Boardroom the official “spirit of Lansdale.”
The expansion, which has been in the works since Boardroom Spirits launched in 2016, adds 2,400 square feet, most of which is now occupied by the new and improved tasting room and bar. The newly-unveiled tasting room and bar includes two bathrooms, a dedicated space for chefs and caterers, shuffleboard, a large bar that acts as the focal point for gatherings, and an automated bottling line.
As part of the growth, an additional 528-gallon still by Hagyo Distilling in Hungary was installed. The new still, additional space, and bottling line enables Boardroom to distill four times the previous capacity and maintain increased levels of production without sacrificing quality or control. Phase two expansion plans include an update to the exterior façade and landscaping and an adjacent 1,000-square foot warehouse with a capacity to increase to 4,000 square feet. The added production facility will allow Boardroom to continue its anticipated growth trajectory and serve the community they have roots in, without needing to relocate.
The tasting room’s cocktail menu has also been revamped thanks to new hire James Cleland, who serves as the tasting room manager. New cocktails include the Knee Buckler– Northbound Rye, FRESH Ginger, lime, and honey ($9), Executive Punch– spiced rum, red wine simple syrup, and aromatic bitters ($10), and the Made MAI TAI– rum, spiced rum, triple sec, lime, and house made orgeat ($8).
The distillery will continue to host “Foodie Weekends,” themed by cuisine (ramen night) or dish (mac n cheese slider trios) with local catering partner Fry’s Catering, and bi-weekly, one-of-a-kind “Macaron and Martini” cocktail workshops in partnership with local catering collaborator Mixie Chics.
